About this deal

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Walliams’ books have achieved unprecedented critical acclaim and it comes as no surprise that countless broadsheet reviewers have compared him to his all-time hero, Roald Dahl. She takes plastic surgery to look young again after Joe lends her money to 'fix' her limping posture.

In 2008 David’s first children’s book The Boy in the Dress was published, illustrated by Quentin Blake. We have read demon dentist which is quite a dark story if you have a young timid child who is easily scared I would wait, because it could put your child off of the trip to the dentist, now we are reading billionaire boy, and we are enjoying it. This might not sound like the most interesting topic for a kids’ book, but it is in the hands of David Walliams it is both touching and very, very funny. a b c "BBC - Cast announced as production begins on BBC One adaptation of David Walliams' Billionaire Boy - Media Centre" . The story follows Joe Spud, who is the richest boy in the country and has everything he could ever want, but wishes to have a friend and eventually learns a lesson on being a normal boy.

I loved it read it ready got through it quick so many amazing story’s so thanks to David walliams who is the author that wrote the book. Multi-talented David Walliams is the fastest growing children’s author in the UK market, selling an average of 20,000 books each week.

The two of them have everything they could ever want, such as an orang-utan butler, a bowling alley, a cinema, and servants. He was bullied at his last school because his father made his fortune by making loo rolls, he is very socially awkward. Billionaire Boy is a spectacular book about the son of a loo-roll maker who makes a lot of money by his company “Bumfresh”. Billionaire Boy is a book about how money and fame can change people, as well as how it makes people act differently towards you if you’re the rich one. The characters were very adventurous also the book made me laugh a lot I would definatly reccomend the book to children aged 9 – 12 for both girls and boys. The contemporary books give my son access to the language he would expect, and most likely uses most. Raj, the kindly newsagent, finds Joe sleeping in a skip and talks over with Joe about his situation.

But the classics give access to a wider style of writing, and perhaps, a more delightful turn of phrase in many cases with vocabulary not so commonly used today but which is great to learn. This particular book will not have you or your child roll in laughter as it’s more about exaggeration than anything else. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. I found this book funny and very good, but I found it quite childish and unrealistic in parts – it is for a young age group, but it was a light and funny read, which is great for younger readers wanting comedy, fun and a little bit of real life, this book is good.I thought the book was funny in parts, but I think some of David Walliams' jokes and amusing characters could have been cleverer. Their parents can't tell them apart and they are sent to a boot camp in America for juvenile delinquents. Personally, I plan for my son to read 50% contemporary books such as this, and 50 classic novels such as ‘The Enchanted Wood’ etc.
